Introducing CloudLinux OS 10.1 Stable Release


We’re pleased to launch the latest milestone in our journey: CloudLinux OS 10.1 Stable Release! This release marks another step forward in enhancing the performance, security, and stability of your hosting environment.

Additionally, AlmaLinux OS 10.1 Stable Release is also available, offering seamless compatibility and enhanced performance.

How to Install CloudLinux OS 10.1

CloudLinux OS 10.1 offers a conversion-based installation approach. You can covnert an existing AlmaLinux 10.1 server to CloudLinux OS 10.1 using the cldeploy script. Please refer to the documentation for details.

Note: ISO images are no longer provided for CloudLinux OS 10 and above. The primary method for CloudLinux OS 10.1 installation is converting an existing AlmaLinux 10 server using the cldeploy script.

How to Upgrade

To upgrade to CloudLinux OS 10.1, use the standard dnf update command:

# dnf clean all && dnf update

Architectural and Delivery Updates

CloudLinux OS 10.1 introduces significant architectural changes:

  • Conversion-based installation: The sole installation path is now a conversion from an existing AlmaLinux server (no ISO images available)
  • Release scheme: CloudLinux OS 10 has the common AlmaLinux release scheme, with synchronized minor versions
  • System identification: The /etc/os-release file will identify the operating system as AlmaLinux after conversion. Use cldetect and cldiag scripts to detect CloudLinux OS installation
  • MySQL/MariaDB separation: Clean separation between upstream-provided mariadb/mysql and CloudLinux-provided cl-MySQL and cl-MariaDB
