Introducing CloudLinux OS 9.6 Stable Release


We’re excited to unveil the latest milestone in our journey: CloudLinux OS 9.6 Stable Release!  This release marks a significant step forward in enhancing the performance, security, and stability of your hosting environment. Check the instructions below on how to install and upgrade, and find more information on the detailed changelog.

How to Install CloudLinux 9.6

You can install CloudLinux OS 9.6 on a new server from the ISO image or convert an existing AlmaLinux 9.6 server to CloudLinux 9.6. Please refer to the documentation for details.

How to Upgrade

We’ve started a gradual rollout of the updated cloudlinux-release package that brings necessary repo updates for 9.6. The Stable rollout will take 2 weeks, so those of you who are excited to get started right away, please follow these steps to upgrade CloudLinux 9.5 to 9.6 manually:

  1. Update cloudlinux-release package from rollout slot

         # dnf –enablerepo=cloudlinux-rollout-10-bypass install cloudlinux-release

 

      2. Do system upgrade

         # dnf update

 

In about 2 weeks, CloudLinux OS 9.6 will be available from the general repository and can be updated with the following command:

        # dnf update
